The Lego WEDO Robotics activities enables students in the age group from 5 to 8 to work as young scientists, engineers, mathematicians and creative writers providing them with the settings, tools and tasks for completing cross curricular Projects.

Students are encouraged to build and program a working model and then use the model for different purposes, depending upon the theme of the activity and its focused subject matter.

The 30 activities have been organized around three themes with 10 activities in each theme. The themes use technology, the building and programming of the model, along with a project oriented approach to integrate concepts across the curriculum.

In these activities students are challenged to design and program their own models. Each activity includes a design brief for students, and a list of guiding questions designed to help students complete the activity.


LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT Robotics Education is the Next generation in educational robotics, enabling students to discover Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Programming in a fun, engaging, hands-on way. Students can design, build, program, and test robots.

Students build and program real-life robotic solutions. Includes the programmable NXT Brick, providing on-brick programming and data logging, interactive servo motors, ultrasonic, sound, light and touch sensors.

Working together on guided and open-ended engineering projects, the team members develop creativity and problem-solving skills along with other important mathematics and science knowledge. Students also become more skilled in communication, organization and research, which helps prepare them for future success in higher levels of schooling and in the workplace.
